ESA50 looked at within a month ?? was created by Benson
In mid October I sent back my ESA50 forms for re-assessment and I just got a letter through saying "we have looked at your claim again following a recent change", saying I am in the support group. I am not going to get too happy as I feel there is no way I could have been in the queue and had my info seen within a month, right ? Has that ever happened ? Normally it is 3 months to a year for my re-assessment decisions. Have you ever heard a returned ESA50 return being given a decision this soon ? Also do I ring the Jobcentreplus number on the form to ask for a renewal date to check ? Or another number ?
Just in case this is just one of those usual yearly rates change update letters, how can I tell the difference ? Would a yearly one say "we have looked at your claim again following a recent change" ?
Thanks everyone !!

I don't think it is an entitlement letter, even though they had to re-issue them this year due to the wording on the original. however, I don't think you can assume it is a Decision Letter for your reassessment either.
The ESA system triggers these letters every time it thinks that there has been a change to your benefit, even if you don't think that there has been one. For example; a recalculation of your payments, even if the amounts are the same as before, will result in one of these letters.
The bottom line is that the only way to be certain is to contact the DWP. If you don't want to do this then contact Maximus, they can tell you whether they still have your file pending a face to face.
