Hi I completed DLA to PIp form and they received it by 9 th Sept 2017 phoned 5 weeks ago as heard nothing told it's with an assessor so waited and phoned yesterday 9th Jan as now 18 weeks told we got your form from DWP beginning of December but they'd written down my wrong postcode !!!! Told you need a F2F so booked in for next Tuesday 16th absolutely dreading it having waited all this time and not heard anything !!!! However my question is I've had asthma since age 3 now 47 it's very severe and poorly controlled by numerous medications I was under the impression certain conditions allow Pip automatically?? Asthma I thought was one of them could you tell me if this is the case or is it just you have to have F2F ? I couldn't have sent more eveidenve i provided so much info feeling absolutely sick about next week and then of course the wait for a decision Thanks lucy
As yet the DWP have not released details of those conditions that wont require further assessment. The assessment provider bases their decision as to whether a F2F is required based on the claim form and evidence supplied. Generally very few claimants escape the need for a medical.
