Can anybody tell me if you are expected to complete both the physical and mental disabilities parts of the ESA50 questionnaire if you have both mental and physical disabilities?
I have inflammatory arthritis, osteoarthritis, severe spinal instability and ADHD.
I have just been awarded PIP at the enhanced rate for both mobility and daily living, however all of the points were awarded due to my physical disabilities.
It has taken me so long to finish the physical part of the ESA form that I would rather not elaborate on my mental health issues if it's not necessary. However, I plan to use the PIP assessment PA4 form as evidence for my ESA claim and it mentions my difficulties with ADHD and I am concerned that because it's mentioned in this report I will be expected to elaborate on it.
Also could someone advise when you can stop sending in sick/fit notes?
If you don't complete the Mental Health section then you can't expect to score points your mental Health issues. The criteria for ESA is different from PIP so just because you only scored for physical problems on your PIP claim does not mean that you will do so for ESA.
If you are receiving the ESA Assessment rate then you need to maintain an active Fit Note with the DWP until an award is made, if you already have an award then you don't need to send them.
