I would be grateful if you could clarify the following , during a home assessment are you asked to complete a medical examination, as i cannot walk very far due to fibro pain and copd would i be asked to walk outside to show this to them. I would find this distressing as i live in a very built up street, many thanks

You may be asked to perform some basic physical tests, walking, range of joint movement and hand strength. You can refuse any activity that would cause you unreasonable physical or mental distress but if you do this then explain in detail to the assessor why you have.
