DLA TO PIP. was created by bluejay52
Hello everyone, and thank you Moderators for your help in the past.
My question is that:
I'm still receiving DLA HR mobility and LR care.- (and have done for the last 11 years).
About a year ago I had a ESA medical , which left me in the support group--due to health problems. and mobility issues..
Since then I have hit the magical 65 so the ESA has finished.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the ESA doctor shares information with the PIP people ??.
My health in the meantime has got a lot worse, but being honest, I'm frightend to contact the DWP,, because I don't want to speed up the the PIP form arriving on my doormat.?.
Or am I worrying too much after reading mostly horror stories.
Thank you.

Reports from an ESA claim can be used to help make the Decision on a PIP assessment but the relevance to the PIP criteria will need to be established, even where there appears to be overlap the criteria can be quite different.
As to whether you should contact the DWP about a change,.my best suggestion is that you study our PIP Claim guide to understand the criteria you will need to meet and how many points you may reasonably score.
