Pip review form. Fibromyalgia and in constant pain was created by Editor68
Just need advice.
Since my last pip my condition has worsened, especially on the mobility side.
I got 4 points for mobility last time! 2 years ago as I could walk and then rest when pain came on.
Now I am in constant pain and under the rheumatology and pain clinic and been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.
My question is this.....
1) it is impossible to use any public transport due to the jolts on my body that create extrutionating electric shocks. (Loud noises make me flinch creating the same effect)-
Also the fatigue from that journey car or not can make me virtually bedbound for a day afterwards.
Does that mean I would qualify for not being able to follow an unfamiliar journey?
Also even though I have to walk small distances but still in pain ( or reduced pain but become breathless, fatigued and dizzy due to med side effects)
Which descriptor should I tick?
I do use a stick. I know I will soon have to use a wheelchair which I am trying to avoid as I still want to be as mobile as possible and keep my muscles and joints moving.
Any advice would be appreciated .

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I can only go by the information you include in your post and based on this I would say that you don't meet the criteria for following a route.
Although you mention problems with Public Transport, this requirement is not specified in the legal definitions, just the DWP guidance and we have seen DMs use this as a reason not to award points.
More importantly you don't describe any cognitive, sensory or mental health problems that would mean that you would be unable to follow (navigate) a route and it is crucial to meeting this requirement that you do. The problem you mention are all physical and will not be directly considered for this activity.
