For personal reasons I am considering changing my name legally.
My question is how would this affect my claims for ESA and DLA?
I appreciate that I would need to let the various departments know of my change of name but would this change kick in the automatic transfer to UC?
I know it may seem like a strange question but I am loath to do anything that will affect my benefit entitlement and force me on to UC where I would loose various disability premiums and end up worse off financially.
