So my child has been getting dla since 2 and has been renewed twice, until his 11th birthday it was refused, al due to a teacher who didnt tell the truth in a questionnaire as I seen the report and was appalled. I knw it was unfortunate tht his daignosies and ed report came after the refusal but she clearly stated to the ed psy how many problems he had and a full diagnoises of asd and quiery adhd which is also going for assessment now. So i did a MR and it has been in since March 2018, it's in a que, do they hve a time frame tht they hve to work within or not? everytime i fone it's stil in the que...New information was sent in when requested MR full diagnoises and 20 page ed report, im loosing al hope at this stage, just thinking of making a fresh claim.

Whilst I don't have figures specifically for DLA MRs, our normal expectation is that the process will take 5-8 weeks, they can take longer due to other factors, for example; at the moment we are seeing a slow down due to Summer holidays.

If you have not contacted the DWP in the last couple of weeks then I would chase them for an update.

You can contact your MP, it's amazing how their involvement can galvanise the DWP into action.

Again I do not have figures for DLA, but revision rates in general for MR are very low so don't be surprised if you have to go onto appeal, which could take many months

You can make a new claim at any time, there is no wait time.
