I sent my reassessment form back to the DWP in May and they contacted my gp on 28th of June but I've heard nothing since. I'm still being paid my ESA so of course I'm loathe to wake the beast by phoning them but I've never known them take this long to send me for a medical. It's not just me. I know 6 other people from my mental health drop in centre who've been waiting as long. Indeed the DWP seem to have sent a large number of claimants here in York their reassessment at the same time. It's still ESA here except UC for new claimants. Are they so backlogged that this is normal? Could they have okayed my claim without telling me? I feel like I'm in limbo.
There are considerable delays in the ESA assessment process across most of the country, members have reported waiting nine or months to hear about whether a F2F is needed.
Your current award will remain in payment until a new decision is made on your claim.
