Monitoring Conditions (Q5a) was created by MikeFromLFE
I am at an early stage in the long slow journey of attempting to claim PIP for my wife who has multiple health conditions (including Osteoarthritis, cardiac arrhythmia, lymphoedema, severe anxiety and depression).
She has had a subcutaneous cardiac monitor fitted (it's under her skin on her chest) which sends a trace of her heart rhythm back to the hospital every night, and will alert them and her to any heart issues. This is not only useful, but gives her a lot of peace of mind. It's a Medtronic Linq monitor.
So, is this a device that would be included under Q5a (an aid or appliance to monitor your health conditions,)?

It's always worth making the argument but even if successful this will only score her one point which is not usually enough to tip the balance on an award.
