It is possible that it is lost but it is more likely that the person you spoke to did not know what they were talking about.
I know what you mean by this. At one time I was chasing a query up re ESA and every time I called I seemed to get conflicting reports.
So my advice to anyone who isn't satisfied with what they have been told is do as I do now, I phone up to three or even four times - one call after the other. It really is a pain but at least you see some sort of pattern and can draw up a better picture of what is REALLY happening.
