Hi to everyone, My brother sustained two heart attacks some weeks ago, resulting in a triple heart bypass procedure last Thursday, for which the recovery will be long.
Would such a health condition serve to qualify for a claim of PIP?
It is not so much the medical condition that the DWP is interested in, but how it affects a person's daily living and/or mobility. In order to claim your brother would need to show that his condition has been ongoing for three months and will continue for at least the next nine months.
