PIP review forms was created by Shemarie
Hi,
My PIP award runs until 1st Jan 2021 and I have not received any review forms.
I had thought that the award had been automatically extended because of the pandemic, but have just read the B&W newsletter.
I'll build myself up to calling them and report back.
Here we go again, back to the usual chaos and panic...

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Shemarie
You are right to give them a ring and find out what is happening with your case.

Hi,
I dug out my previous letters and would appreciate a clarification.
My award was originally given until 1st January 2021. However, I submitted a Mandatory Reconsideration and was upgraded to Enhanced in both categories for "an ongoing period".
Does the "ongoing period" from the MC override the deadline of the original award?
Sorry for the confusion on my part.

Hi Shemarie
You can relax. 'Ongoing' is for a period of ten years - so it will be a while before you receive a review form! Congratulations on winning your MR.

Hi,
Apparently I can't relax at all. My head is spinning.
Just to recap- I was given an "ongoing" award in Sept 2018 (This was upgraded by MR from the original 01 Jan 2021 award).
A couple of weeks ago, I received a letter saying my award had been "extended" to 1 October 2021.
Today, I've received the renewal form to return before 30 November. Three weeks, all in the middle of another lockdown.
I know I'll have to call them, but what can I say? I feel overwhelmed and very confused.
Please advise,
Thanks.

Hi Shemarie
That is most odd. It seems that your MR did not override the previous end date - which is peculiar. I am afraid the only thing you can do is ring and ask them and remind them that the MR said 'ongoing'. They may change their mind - but if they do, you want it in writing. (You don't want to find they suddenly end your money).
However, they are entitled to review at any time they like. When you ring, I would ask for a call back from a senior manager to explain the position. You are entitled to that, so don't let someone fob you off.
If they won't change their minds you have no choice but to complete the review form.
Really sorry.
