New Style ESA assessment - how long? was created by sugaplum
Hi,
I understood that after 13 weeks on this benefit that my husband would be assessed and placed into a group. He continues supplying sick notes every time they run out. It has now been 21 weeks. He was asked to submit medical evidence in August which he did. Does anyone know what is happening and why no ESA50 form?
Thanks

Whilst the Assessment period lasts 13 weeks there is no requirement for a Decision to be made within this period.

All ESA assessments were suspended in March and have only just been restarted.

I would chase Maximus about an ESA50 he really should have received one by now.

Thankyou. And finally the ESA50 form arrived today. Having phoned several times and requested in writing. Obviously due to Covid, they are far behind.

ESA 50 form finally arrived after several calls. Evidence submitted. Using your brilliant guides.
Result direct to support group with no medical. Monies backdated. Such a relief no longer having to pester GP for sick notes. Cant thank you enough.
