Gary, forgive my intrusion but I believe Margo won't have the contributions needed in the years 17-18 and 18-19 because she hasn't worked since 2015, if I read aright. Thanks for all your hard work, Denby

I am very concerned by the information that you have provided, it may be that you are confused as to what you are currently receiving but there are a number of anomalies.
You say that your husband is receiving the State Pension AND Carers Allowance, it is not possible for a claimant to do this as they are classed as overlapping benefits so he can only receive one or the other, normally the State Pension as it pays more.
You also say that he is receiving the Carers Premium but this is only payable with an Income Related benefit such as Pension Credit and yet you do not appear to be receiving one.
Lastly, you state that you do not qualify for Pension Credit, whilst it is not impossible that you would qualify for Housing Benefit and not Pension Credit, it is unlikely, especially if the reason is due to income.
I strongly advise you to contact a Welfare Right agency so that they can determine whether you are receiving the right benefits.

Thank you, everyone. We are still feeling very sore and angry. The DWP letter arrived this afternoon. Essentially they have removed the previous Managing your Treatments, reduced the washing and bathing to just needing aids or appliances 2 as opposed to 3 points previously; removed the dressing and undressing. They have also taken away the four points I had for mobility, not that that matters I suppose. They have however given me 2 points for managing toilet needs. So 6, points.
I have made an application for NS ESA but because of my private pensions, if I get it, it won't touch the sides of the £847 we have lost.
So, homelessness looms. We don't stand a chance of getting a council house. Maybe we should gather our pennies and buy an old caravan until I get to 66 in two years time when after six years of stealing my pension off me they will have no choice but to hand some of it back.
Thank you for listening.

Gordan, thank you for your concern. My brain is mush right now. Yes,my husband gets SP, he is 71. The CA letter states he qualifies for Underlying Entitlement for helping me with my physical issues. I get CA for looking after him.
Husband does not qualify for Pension Credit beause the system says is is based on the younger of us (I am 64) so I am not of state pensionable age.
Denby, I have checked my NI contributions and on top of the 39 years I have worked it says I qualify.
I have made a tentative enquiry of my MacMillan nurse and the response time is 4 to 6 weeks before they can discuss with me.
