Advice on claiming benefits was created by lobsterpot
Hi
My sister is my Carer and has recently been made redundant from her full time employment. She has suffered two strokes, a slipped disk in her spine and later on sepsis. To say she is fit for work is a understatement.
I cannot help her but need advice on what she 'may' be entitled to?
We live together have a mortgage and she looks after me seven days a week.
Any constructive ad ice would be greatly appreciated in this stressful time.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Nobby
The best thing your can do, is put her information into a benefits calculator and it will tell you the benefits which she could apply for. We can't say what she might be entitled to. It doesn't force her to sign up to anything - it just gives out information. The government site tells people which ones to use. We don't cover all the different types of benefits that may be available to her and only she knows her financial situation.

Thank you for your "Terse" reply.
Been on here for years and the answers just get more and more irrelevant.

The answer given was perfectly reasonable given the information that you supplied.
If you don't like the answers given on the forum then please feel free not to use it, it is not part of your subscription so you will lose nothing. I for one will think twice about using my valuable time answering your questions in the future.

Hi Gordon,
As with most things in life its not "what you say" it's "how you say it"?
I tend not to give too much detail for security not because I think the Moderators are mind readers. If you want to not answers my questions then this really is a poor state of affairs.
