After you have had an award was created by davida
Hi On my application form I omitted to the fact my hearing was poor and ticked it ok. My question is now that I have my award , can I get a hearing test , as I am sure they will prescribe a hearing aid which will give me enough points to qualify for the enhanced rate, or am I to late . My assessment seems about right otherwise, and I don't think an mr would be appropriate. I wish I had got my hearing addressed before my application as it was there I just messed up. Thanks

Hi davida

You are too late as your award has been made due to your assessed as you were on the date of your assessment. You may want to contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report before you report a change of Circumstances.

If you report a Change of Circumstances, then you should do so in writing as the date of your letter will be used to set the start date of any new award, Ideally, send it using a Track'd post so that you have proof of delivery.

Before you report a Change of Circumstances, you should be certain that you would reasonably qualify for a higher award, not all deterioration or even new conditions will result in your scoring the points you need for a higher award. See our PIP Claims guide for the criteria that you will need to make.

If you report a Change then you will be sent a new PIP2 to complete and it is almost certain that you will be required to have some sort of assessment.
