PIP supreme court ruling was created by Kimbychick
I was awarded PIP standard daily living and mobility in March 2017 til March 2021.
I just looked out all of my PIP notes and award letter etc from 2017 and I was awarded 10 points daily living and 2 points for the mixing with people part. I should have received the 4 points for enhanced as I had clearly stated I need support and I also had a letter of evidence from my CPN at the time to say I visit him fortnightly for support in social situations etc.
I am going to use the info on this site to write to them but could you please tell me if I need any more current evidence to send? I am now under a different mental health team and not sure if I would have to provide evidence from them to support me. Or would the letter from 2017 be enough?
Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

You would need to provide information from 2017 as that is what they are looking at but I am not sure that your visiting your CPN fortnightly will qualify you for the extra points.

Thanks for that. I thought it would have as without my sessions with my CPN or Psychiatrist I wouldn't have been able to go engage with anyone at all.
It does also state in my support letter than I need a close relative with me at all times when going anywhere or engaging with others face to face. Which is still the case to this day.
Could you briefly explain what does qualify please as I don't want to write to them if I have got it wrong.
Thanks

Have you looked at the relevant section in our PIP Claim guide it has been updated in light of the UTT Decision?
Your needing a relative may qualify you but they will need to provide you with very specific support as described in the guide.

Could you please send me the link? As I can't seem to come across the right one.
From what I have read I thought I may qualify as there doesn't have to be a specific time before the engaging that support is needed. As it says it could even be weeks before from a CPN. My visits were mainly based around my CPN teaching me how to cope when engaging with others i.e CBT on controlling my panick attacks and help with controlling my stammer in a social situation. Without these regular sessions I would not have been able to cope with engaging with others at all.
Thanks for your help. I am glad I asked before attempting to write to them.
