PIP review suspended again was created by layla
Hi there, I just wanted to ask about the review suspensions? They contacted me way back in June saying that my PIP review would be suspended until May 2021 when my PIP was up for review around now, November 2020. Anyhoo I received the PIP review form at the start of October, which I completed and sent off, and now again I received another letter from them a few days ago stating that they are suspending my PIP review again until August 2021, and if I had recently completed a review form, then I may still be called up for an assessment. Er this is quite confusing lol I wish they would have just given me a paper review or the phone call to get it over and done with, apart from COV1984 LOL Would it have anything to do with the Scottish Government taking over the disability payments as I am in Scotland? Thanks Layla

Hi Layla
We really don't have knowledge of what is going on in Scotland. In England, people's awards are being extended, but reviews are not suspended, but Scotland may be quite different.
I have tried to search for more information, but I can't see any. I'm afraid if you have any queries you will have to phone to confirm what is happening.

Whilst the Scottish Government have announced plans to take over PIP they have not done this yet.
I think you have misread the letters you have received, as BIS has said they are extending awards but this in no way suspends reassessment.

Pip extended till April 2021
Again extended July 2021
Review form sent back September 8 th
Still waiting for a paper review or telephone asisment
My carer phoned on Friday to be told
It’s on the system hopefully should hear before end of year.
