Query on Filling in PIP2 form using Printer was created by Parent101
Hi,
We've got a PIP2 form, which arrived on my doorstep EIGHT days after it was dated.
Looking at the form, it requires for Complete, Detailed answers, but fails to provide sufficient space to answer the questions without adding them as "Other Information" in Q15.
In the short, the form appears to be distinctly unhelpful and unfriendly.
In order to fit in all the required information, I would have to use incrediably small writing.
Is it acceptable to prepare the Answers on a Laser Printer, print them out and then stick them in the boxes provided? (and then sign each of them as well).
Are there any accepted or rejected precednts for this manner of providing the information?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Parent101
Lots of people type up their answers and it is perfectly acceptable to do so. You can stick them down if you want, or you can just attach separate pages. If you go for the page option make sure that you put page numbers and name and national insurance number on every page the question you are answering. On the form under each question just write "See page X"

My concern is that if I type up the answers via a printer and then cut them out and stick them in in the form, then the assessors may not like this and then reject the application.
How certain are you that this is acceptable to do and will lead to the application being rejected?
Similarly, if you just write "see page X" then you are not using the full space within the form and then continuing in Q15 because you have run out of space.

Hi Parent101
As far as I am aware we have not from any members who have had their application form rejected by the assessor due to cutting and pasting their answer on to the form. The only reason I can see for a form to be rejected is if they are unable to read what you have written.
Our PIP Claim guide covers completing the AR1 Review form (1043 Review), remember, whatever the form says you are being assessed against the same criteria as before.
As BIS has stated, It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the AR1, just make sure that each page has your full name and NINO at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend using "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing.
Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X. If there has been no change in your circumstances tick the relevant box and then write below in the relevant box, please see page ‘x’ of ‘y’.
You do need to explain your condition even if it has not changed. If your condition has changed, then tick the relevant box and explain what has changed and how it affects you, remember you have to fit the criteria.
Attach the pages to the back of the form using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
