Hi there.

I’ve come home today to a number of missed calls from DWP and a text message telling me they want to talk to me about my PIP claim. I submitted my paperwork in December 2019. Had my F2F in February 20. Answer in April. Submitted MR in May and got my reply back with no change in July 20. I submitted my appeal online in August. I’ve seen online about people receiving ‘lower offer’ calls. Very nervous about the call. I can’t have my mobile at work so going to have to ring them and either speak to them then or give my work number to call me on. Does anybody have any experience with why they could be calling me? As yet I do not have a date for my appeal. TIA

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.

You could be right they may want to make an offer or they may want to contact you for more information before they make an offer, you will not know until you phone them.

Before you contact DWP you need to ask yourself what do you realistically expect to receive looking at PIP's strict criteria, when you contact DWP and they do offer a lower award, if you think it's too low then tell them and explain the reason why, get yourself prepared before you make the call, call them in your dinner time or when you get home from work.
