Nine month PIP extension letters flood out was created by gailrei
Was quite shocked to hear this when my PIP had been stopped with no explanation. My last payment (for two weeks) was on 23/12/20.
I phoned DWP first week into January and was told my claim had ended. Apparently this was as a result of a change if circumstances I had sent to DWP in September 2020 and my case needed to be assessed again.
I was informed at beginning of this week, my assessment would be by phone on 3/2/21, now changed to this Saturday 30/1/21, this is at my request so I can have someone present with me.
At such short notice, can anyone advise me of any pitfalls, or offer any tips, please?
Something that is worrying me a little is that I am nearly 69 years of age and if Dwp are hoping to change my PIP to a 'new' claim which , I'm guessing that would put me on AA.

Hi g4jc
Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is.
Welcome to Benefits and Work .
You are correct, if you had to make a new claim then you would have to apply for AA as you are over SP age.
When you applied for a change of circs in September 2020, was this because your condition got worse?
If you reported a change then you would have received a PIP2 form to complete, this was the form that you filled in when you originally applied for PIP.
We do have some very good guides to help you, please make use of the latest version of our PIP Claim guide, have a look at page 96.
