I had esa50 2019
Paper based award for 2 years by atos
DM award letter agreed with ATOS and 24 months
Do they send a renewal form or do I phone them to see
I am acting on my brother behalf as he as M H issue
He just been awarded pip for 3 years
Thanks to fabulous guides here

Hi Actonjon
ESA is an indefinite award so there is no end date or award length. If your brother has been told that his claim will be reassessed in 2021 then I would expect your brother to receive a new ESA50 within a month of the reassessment date, if your brother has not been told this then his current award will remain in payment until a new Decision is made.

Gary phoned Dwp this morning
Well
They say that his going to be reviewed March 2023
I did say that they award letter back in 2019 stated 2 yrs review
Anyway I ask when was this looked at
She said nothing on the screen only that not to worry till 2023
I asked that he had his pip extended and a review form turned up filled in and awarded till 2024
I ask will the same happen to ESA
She couldn’t say
So let’s see
But you never know when that brown envelope arrives
I did ask for a benefit esa letter stated that award. Till 2023
