Hi Carrie,
DWP often suggest that if you can drive, then you are able to perform many daily activities, it seems that the Tribunalx pick up on this theory, hence the questions!
It is alleged that if you have the physical grip on a steering wheel, you can peel or chop vegetables, and tbe cognition required to drive a car means that you shouldn't forget to take your medicine!!!
Of course there is some grip and awareness required by driving, but realistically doesn't match with most PiP activities.
However, being able to get out and about to different places is part of the mobility tests,so in that respect the Tribubal would want to ascertain whether you go anywhere, and how you cope etc. Where you park might have reference to how far you need to walk if you have physical walking difficulties.
I hope this helps.
