DWP received medical assessment report was created by daisychain59
Just got a text message from DWP that they have received the written assessment (medical I assume) and will now make a decision.
I think I read on here that I am entitled to ask for a copy of this. Have I remembered right? If so how and when can I do it.
Very nervouse of content as it was a paper-based review.

Hi daisychain59,
You are absolutely right, yes you can ask for a copy of the report. For PIP this is PA4. Even if the report is incorrect, and disappointing, having a copy will be very useful if want to send in a Reconsideration letter. Knowledge both good and bad is always power!

Hi, copying my usual comments on this for you: please do call DWP to ask for the assessment report. Should you hit on a deceitful call agent who says no [unless you're in N Ireland], just sweetly end the call and try again.
Have a big cuppa and highlighter pens [oh and your own copy of everything] on hand when it arrives [chase if it takes over a week I'd say]. Then sit down and work through marking up anything n everything you find fault with. It is quite legit to write to DWP ASAP to counter anything that is twisted, missing or plain wrong. This can mean a good decision instead of a bad one.
Hope you don't need this advice but best be prepared. Think of the effort as possibly saving you an MR/Appeal...[did for our daughter]
