refused p.i.p after mandatory reconsideration

hi I was awarded p.i.p in 2014 then re awarded after review at lower rate, as my conditions worsened u requested a review pack early to make dwp aware of other illnesses, after completing this form I had a telephone assessment during covid and scored 6 points total I was removed from p.i.p fully so applied for MR and have just been told i have not been successful although gp supported claim and other specialist info submitted where do I go from here can anyone help?

Hi Joanne

I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Have you got a copy of your assessment report. (PA4)? That will give you the details of how they came to their decision. You can ring and ask for it.

You are also entitled to ring up and ask for a call-back on how they decided your MR was unsuccessful. (You won't be able to change their decision on this call).

Your next stage is to go for an appeal. We have a guide that will walk you through the process. Be aware that this can take a long time.

Even if you have put in for an appeal, you can also put in for a new claim, but you need to leave this a month before you do it. If you go for a new claim you still need to understand why you were unsuccessful by looking at the PA4 report.
