Pip help needed was created by Dlettice
Hi..according to my statement of entitlement at the top of my award letter I’m entitled to full care but I got none..also I was too ill to send my letter from my doctor..in the MR will this back me up totally? I also got lr mobility and I’ve never had it before..backdated..my assessor said she wasn’t taking any points off and she said I’d stay the same although the final decision wasn’t up to her it was what she was recommending..also if I’m entitled to or mobility will it raise my esa from work group to support group?

Hello Donna,
I am sure that I fully understand your question. You say that your statement of entitlement says that you entitled to 'full care' but you got none. Does this mean that you have not received the payment into your bank account? Or am I misunderstanding you?
Your PIP award will not directly influence your ESA award, but when your ESA is reviewed it is worth including your PIP award as part of your evidence, it can only help.
If you do decide that you wish for a MR then you can submit your doctor's letter than, and it should help. It depends on what it said as to how much it backs you up!
If I have got your questions wrong, or you have other ones, please do come back to us.

They sent out two separate letters..one said I was entitled to full care but the other one was denying it..it was their fault

Hi Donna,
Since you have 2 letters saying opposite things then perhaps you need to contact DWP to clarify. You may also wish to make a mandatory Reconsideration request.
Catherine is correct that ESA and PIP are different benefits, there is a bit of an overlap. One of the criteria for support group is limited mobility. If you can not 'mobilise' more than 50m you qualify for support group. This means walking or using a wheelchair if this has been recommended for you and it is reasonable to use one.
If poor mobility is your problem, then this may impact the way you get into a bath, wash yourself etc etc, so this can also be evidence for these daily living activities. In which case if you do want to make an MR request you could say something like - ' you have accepted I have poor walking ability because you have awarded X points, but you dispute that I need help to get into the bath. (etc) This is contradictory and indicates that you do not fully understand how my limited mobility affects daily living activities as well being able to walk.. .'
Hope this helps.

I can’t but I got it for needing help due to the psychological stress it causes..also I’m probably entitled to it bc I have nystagmus most of the time and vertigo while vomiting and can’t move but it’s such a fight even with medical evidence and a letter from my doctor
