just had telephone assessment was created by magpiejoe08
hello, i had my telephone assessment today, it lasted 41 minutes, the lady was very pleasant and we went through the relevant issues. she also told me i would receive the results in about 8 weeks from today. i recorded the interview, so how long should i wait before i request a copy of the HCP's report? then i can replay the interview and see if everything we said matches. thank you.

Hi magpiejoe08

I'm glad to hear that you 'survived' the assessment. Your report should be ready 48 hours after your assessment.

You are indeed fortunate magpiejoe08, mine wound me up for 70 mins, even ask what make and model your car is, tottal bovine droppings of as question/assessor.
whats that got to do with personal independence.

yes they did mention me driving, but certainly did not mention make or model. like you i can't for the life of me see any relevance in that question. still i hope you are successful.

I wonder if they are hoping to justify that claimant has no memory difficulties if they can say what their car is. Or maybe that they can engage socially if they manage to 'chat' with the assessor about this?? On his driving test [which he passed] years ago a friend was asked about driving a big car as he took the test in a Cortina. So maybe if you have a big car you have the power to lift saucepans, or a small one [hard to get in and out of] you can get on and off the toilet easily???
See other recent thread about what situations count as social eg the assessment itself is NOT a social situation.

Hi denby,

It's obvious what the game is here. The assessors are massively bonus driven, total greedy just like other fat cats.

So they are instructed in order to get their huge fatcat cheques each month to come the ..can you get in a car, can you drive, do you hold a drivers licence. And so on and so on.

Then in their opinion you can socially engage with no promlemo lol.
The DM see's the report, (and my personal experience is the dm takes the assessors accepts the report.

Then the claimants are either downgraded, or kicked off their awards, all because some assessor decided opening up a car door equates to having a full blown face to face so-called social interactable engaging conversation! You just couldn't make it up if you tried.

Then your just forced to accept the DM's decision, cower down, or fight it nail and tooth all the way to a tribunal.

They are hoping that the disabled people are so ill fragile and weak, therefore they will bottle it going for a MR/ and or a tribunal.

Basically everyone should go for MR's and then appeal, someone somewhere may just realize that the system isn't working properly. Or do they already know it, but totally don't care.

I have been reading PIP case laws today, and it's been somewhat a bit of an opener on how the DWP and assessors act towards claimants and interpret their own version of the law to suit themselves, it's a total national disgrace, and I'm chuffed to bits when a tribunal or upper tribunal judge/s award in favour to the claimants.

DWP have been told they can't do and shouldn't do this and that, but they still do, a law unto themselves. No one is above the law !

Regards.
