phone call from dwp was created by colin123456
Could I ask about the dwp, phoning me no warning, asking me questions. After my answers she said she would pass my answers to a decision maker. anyway I have had a text today saying that we have had a written report and once a dicision has been made we will let you know in 8 weeks. I have not had a phone or face to face. I do have osteoarthritis heart A/F waiting for knee replacements I have had a spine Fusion and due to another disc out and waiting for the pain clinic appoitment. Lasty IK do have Brain Fogging, what is your percentage of me may be getting both of the higher awards cos I am so worried. Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Colin
Yes, the DWP will ring you out of the blue, if they need some extra information. This has happened to you and at least you have been spared a telephone or face to face assessment. We can't comment on the likelihood of you getting an enhanced award. It isn't the particular condition/s you have, it is how those conditions impact on your daily life and your mobility against the PIP criteria - that scores points and leads to an award.
You can ring the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessment award which for a paper-based assessment is a PA3 - this will give you some details on the assessors thinking and an idea of what you might be awarded. (The decision-maker often follows the recommendations of the assessor - but not always). If you don't want to do that you will have to wait for the decision to be made.
