Pip review form was created by S123
Hello, I have received the pip review form 1043, I am still on no changes for most but mentally I have been depressed due to Covid my daughter lost her job and financially I’m down as lots of debts. This makes me more anxious and feelings are very low at the moment.scared to go out incase I get ill. The other change is mobility I have lost a lot of weight and get severe cramps now used to be able to hold and walk Upto 50 m now very less due to the pain. My question is do I put down these changes and would they make a difference. I have the doctors letter stating leg cramps and weight loss financial stress etc or do I just say no changes? The reason I’m asking I’ve read that sometimes they reassess you and can stop pip altogether or lower your payment. I don’t want to risk losing out as I need the money it’s used for my medications and necessities I need on daily basis. Can someone pls advise ( I get esa in support group and pip lower payments)

Hi Sidhu
When you return the review form, you may well have an assessment regardless of whether you say there has been any change or not.
If you choose to tell them there has been a change you need to make sure that you speak to the specific PIP criteria. You have a doctor's letter which confirms your difficulties - which is good.
I can't tell you what will happen, because you can never tell and it's a decision you will have to make for yourself.

Another question was should I send proof of all the medications I buy myself for my illnesses eg my vit d vit b iron plant sterols? Plus I have debt problems leading to a lot of stress since Covid and daughter lost her job increased anxiety would it benefit me to mention that and show my debts? Sorry this was a after thought I want to make sure of everything before the form is filled in so I make no mistakes

Hi Sidhu
You can mention the medication that you buy yourself - you don't need to send proof. They probably won't be that interested as they are usually concerned with prescribed medication.
You can talk about your debts in the question regarding managing money and how it has increased your anxiety. I can't say whether or not it will benefit you, because if it is related to the lockdown and your daughter's loss of job - it won't be considered relevant unless the difficulties are directly related to a medical condition.
Don't put the pressure on yourself to send a form with 'no mistakes' - nearly everyone does, because we often think later that we should have explained something in a different way, we wish we had said something which we forgot or we put something on the form which we wish we hadn't. You can only try and do what you believe is best.

Hi Sidhu, much more important than a mistake-free form, which hardly anyone does, is keeping a copy of everything- the form and all letters etc you include, and sending it tracked and keeping the proof or signing for it. Also remember to write your name and NI No along the top of every sheet that you add to the form for extra space and evidence such as letters.
very best wishes,
Denby
