resend previously sent evidence and answers? was created by Chlorinated
The pip form explicitly states not to send ‘information you’ve sent us before’. In my previous pip I sent my very old cfs diagnoses letter and they used it as medical history evidence accepting cfs would have been part of my problems. Are they saying not to send this letter or should I ignore it and send it again? I imagine some of these assessors are not bothered to look at the old records so it would be wise to send again?
Similarly last time I typed out some very detailed answers as per benefits and work advise, the form space is less now but should I just reprint and reference those answers since nothings changed?
The form seems simple enough they you can just say no change to all questions and if they want to find how the condition Affects you they can consult the previous pip application. I am expecting too much from them and so it would be wise to send everything again?
Also my answers last time consisted of 450 words a question/30 lines. Is this ok or do you think it’s too much and I should maybe reduce everything to a few lines or maybe 6 lines condensing and only including the most important information while giving no real detail. You can’t really list your symptoms if you have a lot in a few lines.
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Chlorinated
I can't tell you what to do here. The DWP ask you not to, but some people feel strongly that the assessors don't necessarily read the information they already have and want to send it again. When I've helped people send in forms I have never sent information that has been sent before - however, I do say "see letter X from Dr Y sent with review form 2017" and I might quote a sentence from that letter.

I've always sent my medical evidence time after time. Ignore what they say and send everything again.

As far as Evidence is concerned I send in what I sent in for my last Assessment/Review plus any Evidence I have gained since then.

And so do I Chlorinated, they have no right to tell people what not to do, it's your claim, your evidence, they make out they will ask your doctors and or hospital but in my experience they have only EVER done so for a paper based assessment. So I see that wording as part of their strategy to reduce claimant success by inferring it is not needed when it jolly well is. IMHO do not be fooled, send whatever strengthens your case at this present time including showing how long you have suffered your difficulties with the activities/mobility.
Best wishes

The Above Always, heard the bloke at CA telling someone once send every single piece and write at end of form how many pages of photocopies.
