Hi
I stopped claiming ESA on Monday 1st August. The temporary job I had didn’t work out unfortunately and so I handed my notice in today Can I reclaim ESA?.

Yes you can, it is known as the linking rule if you have to reclaim ESA within 12 weeks of a previous award, you will not have to serve any waiting days.

Thanks for this. How do I reclaim? Do I just ring up? I called them when I handed in my notice and the call handler said they had not closed down the claim and were going to email the team. I haven’t been paid this morning. Eek!

I would call them to see what is happening and let them know you have not been paid.
