Hi Catherine,
Do you think it is worth going forward with the appeal, it was a genuine mistake, with a change of circumstance on mine and my son's case. He wasn't overpaid, my children were both employed in 2016 when they left home, I have always informed the dwp of any other change of circumstances I have had. You seem has if you have lots of knowledge of my sons situation, what do you think my son's appeal result will be.
Thank you again,
Bernadette.

Hi Bernadette,
In my offline life I mainly work with people who primarily have mental health difficutlies. Therefore I have a fairly good insight into how things can go wrong. Unfortunately I don't have the full details on your son's situation to be able to give the advise you are asking for. What I would say though is that from what I have seen you have nothing to lose, and potentially a lot to gain.
If you need specific guidance about your son's case you really need to find a local advisor who will look into all the details with you.
This can be a helpful link in locating someone.

Hi bernadette Ann
It usually takes about 5 weeks to receive payment, depending on the amount sometimes the full backdate payment is received in 2/3 payments.
