When submitting a PIP diary for a PIP review, is one typical day of a week sufficient or do you need to submit a full week’s diary?

Hi glimpy123,
I would always submit a diary for at least a week. PIP points and hence benefit are awarded on the basis of showing you have limitations for the majority of days. As a result just one day of a diary may show difficulties but it won't be convincing to show the majority of days.
You do not have to send in your diary, but these can be a very useful tool to show how your disabilities affect your life and how you perform PIP activities. Additionally they are an excellent way if keeping a contemporaneous record of what's been happening, which is useful if you need to appeal.

Just as a side note about disability diaries over and above being useful for PIP claims. These diaries can also be very useful to notice patterns. If for example you get fatigue or pain but can't fathom out why this becomes aggravated on certain days your diary might reveal this particularly if you look back over one or two days previously. This can be helpful to avoid activities that provoke symptoms and hence manage symptoms better. This might also help your GP understand your condition too.
I hope this helps.

I would also suggest that you date it, as particular reference was made to the fact several times in my report, that mine wasn't dated.
