Hi Francesca,
There is no need to inform the local council. They should know already under the partnership system where DWP share information with local councils. I always think it is a good idea to just phone up the council, so they will have an official record- sometimes useful as there may be support you can access.
As you are in LCWRA group do you get PIP? (I am assuming that you have significant disability. ) PIP will not affect the amount of UC as PIP is not means tested. PIP is based on points similar to the WCA assessment you will have had for UC. If you would like to know more, have a look at the guides -here

I hope this helps.

Hiya,
Thanks for that.
Yes I get standard daily PIP.
Can I also ask, I've been trying to get a copy of the report following the WCA assessment, but the numbers I've rung for DWP ie UC and Health Assessor's keep telling me they don't have these.
Do you know how I might be able to get a copy?
Many thanks

Hiya
Yes I did that UC denied having any told me to ring health assessor's who said they didn't know why uc would have told me to ring them as they didn't have it.
Left journal message but had no response yet.
Last thing I tried was someone's suggestion of sending DWP a FOI request.
I'm beginning to think I'd have more chance of locating the lost Arc and may see if Indiana Jones can help...lol

Hi Francesca
Indiana Jones would be a good call as he never gives up ...
You could ask your MP for help, remember you cannot get a copy of the assessors report (UC 85) until a decision has been made.
