Hi anne.2young,
Thanks for the update. I appreciate that the thought of another assessment fills you with dread, but you have been given excellent advice in particular by Denby and Gary. Try not to worry too much about doing an assessment. Hopefully you can argue for a paper based review.
In the meantime what interests me more is the response to the letter you sent in. Did you get a written response, what exactly did it say? It clearly hit a nerve with DWP so is worth while using again for others.

No i Have not received a letter in response to my letter but they very sharply extend my PIP for a short period of time and also arranged a telephone assessment.
I must add i was quite nervous to send the letter in case it hinders my claim but only time will tell but i have retained a copy and if need be if they turn down or reduce my claim i will provide this for the tribunal.
