Mixed up information on PIP review form was created by Mystery1997
On my preparing food and cooking section I wrote that I typically only have 1 or 2 meals a day as a result of my depression. When writing this I didn't mean a balanced meal like chicken and veg but something like a sandwich or McDonald's.
I only specified this in the eating and drinking section where I wrote that I mainly eat biscuits, crisps, chocolate and oven food like sausage rolls, garlic bread ect. not proper meals.
I'm worried I made a big mistake but there's not much I can do as I've already sent the form off. My hope would be that they'd connect the information together rather than take it at face value.
Do you think it will be an issue?

Hi Mystery 1997,
The test for descriptor one is to be able to prepare a simple meal from scratch using fresh ingredients. You should therefore be able to claim points if you cannot do this.
There was a fairly recent case that stated that eating and drinking (descriptor 2) did NOT comprise taking proper nutrition such as fresh meat, veg, fruit etc. It involves the physical act of eating/drinking only. On that basis if you can do this you won't get points. However, you can get points for needing prompting either to prepare food and/or to be able to eat.
As you say the form has gone in, so there is no point in worrying now. If you don't score the correct points, then you can start afresh when you send in a Mandatory Reconsideration letter.Whilst that might sound a bit scary, it is just the posh name for a letter asking DWP to look at their decision again. You can go through everything, and explain that you have now had (more) advice and you should have said something different.
Have a look at the members guides again if you need to.
Basically don't worry. There is nothing you can do now, and of course you may always be successful.
Good luck.
Let us know how you get on, and remember that we are are always here to help.
