Pip Review date change to September 2022. was created by bernadette Ann
Good Evening,
My Son received a letter in November 2020, stating he's pip award has been extended until
21 august 2022.
Recently he received a pip review form, he is not sure what to do, should the DWP stick to the the changed date, or is this a happening to other people, he doesn't know where he stands, which review date is the correct one.
Kind Regards
Bernadette.

Hi Bernadette Ann
Your son's award has been extended until August 22. Review forms are typically sent out 6 - 12 months before the end of an award, so I'm afraid your son has to fill out the review form. It has been correctly sent out to him. Aug 22 is when his award would come to an end if he did not have a review before then. As it can take months to get through reviews and the fact they have a backlog - review forms are sent out in plenty of time. This is the same practice for everyone.

hi bis, thank you for your reply, putting no change in the relevant boxes, is it the correct way to fill out the pip review form, or is it best to write a sentence that there is not change in my son's condition. kind regards.

Hello Bernadette Ann,
Our PIP guides have a section about how we recommend filling in the review form, (Page 124 in the first guide PIP resources )
In short, we recommend that you do not fall for simply writing 'no change' but present your case again. Additionally, whenI am supporting people with the review form they often initially say that there is 'no change' but when I remind them how the DWP viewed their condition at their previous assessment they have things they wish to add.
