DWP taking very long time to get back to me

They received the form on the 27th of August but it was only processed on the 7th of September. It's now the 13th of October and I'm still waiting. I called up on Monday where I was told it's being looked over by an assessor and depending on their judgement I may the get moved on to an assessment.

The amount of time you have to wait is honestly ridiculous. I really need to know what the outcome is as my ability to rent privately is dependent on my entitlement to PIP. I'm going to try them again next Monday.
