If someone cannot prepare food and can only put a ready meal into a microwave oven to reheat the food. Would this person fulfill the descriptor 1e needs supervision or assistance to either prepare or cook a simple meal. Or would they fulfill 1 f cannot prepare and cook food. At the moment I burn myself taking ready meals out of the microwave or oven which I presume would be 1 f? I am however having OT trying to come up with a solution.
From what you have said you may score 1f, because a claimant is supposed to be able to prepare and cook a simple meal and that doesn't include a ready meal. Make sure that you give a reason why you can't prepare or cook a meal linking it to your condition/s so that an assessor can't say that you eat ready meals through choice.
