The answer to your question is .... depends on what type of ESA you are sorting about, if you are in receipt of CB ESA then no it will not affect it, if you are in receipt of IR ESA and receive disability premiums such as EDP and or SDP then yes it will affect your ESA.
If you are not sure what type of ESA you are claiming contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation,
advicelocal.uk they may be able to help you, ideally you will still have a copy of your ESA annual increase letter.
