It is a condition of your receiving ESA that you provide the DWP with information as they request.

Are you receiving ESA(CB) now referred to as legacy ESA or New Style ESA?

If the former then you are still potentially entitled to ESA(IR) subject to your circumstances. If the latter or just ESA(CB) then there is no means-tested element although pension can lead to deductions from both ESA(CB) and NS ESA.

Hi Daisy

I would seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation; advicelocal.uk as your post does not make sense if you are in receipt of CB ESA. I could understand it if you are in receipt of IR ESA.

Are you in receipt of both IR ESA and CB ESA?

Hi Gordon,

Sorry, I forgot I'd posted this. Fair question you ask as I didn't actually ask a question myself, but, can anyone give any advice as to what I might expect because of this interaction with DWP ESA?

What on Earth might they mean by, 'any of our purposes'..?
Am I right to feel unnerved by this statement which seems to lend itself to broad interpretation?
