Hi I get standard rate for daily living and enhanced for mobility, I have just been diagnosed with cancer will I report it to Dwp and will it affect my claim
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I can't tell you whether it will make a difference because it depends on what you have been told.
If you have been told that you have a terminal diagnosis (and I hope that you haven't), you would inform the DWP and once they had got confirmation from your doctors, your daily living rate would be increased.
If you don't have a terminal diagnosis, but your health has deteriorated and you think you could get enhanced daily living - then you would need to put in for a change of circumstances - giving them as much detail as you can, and that would trigger them to review your case.
If you just tell them that you have cancer but aren't expecting an increased award, you ask them to add the information to your file and nothing changes.
