Ok, so UC Migration letter has arrived... was created by Boomer
I knew it was coming at some point of course but it's still a little unnerving to open the letter.
I'll be reading both the 52 and 28 page guides before I ask any questions. I'm using this post as a place marker online and in my mind to begin the process as it just helps me feel a little more in control.
I'll confine any questions I ask to this thread of course.

Slight tangent here. Looking to make sure I migrate on the most money I can be on so it is equalled by UC once migrated.
The link below is a letter I got from ESA. After I notified them of a change in circumstance a few months back it transpired that they should have been paying me the Severe Disability Premium from the time I first got PIP. They paid the money owed, that's all fine.
Now...
Can anyone tell me why the ESA amount actually reduces from Feb 2025? That's makes no sense to me. I've just called them on the number provided and the person I talked to doesn't understand why either. He said the "benefits centre" will call me back in around a week.
Trouble is, my migration is going through and they will base it on that last, lower figure of £240.55.
In case it's relevant, I'm also in receipt of the higher rates of PIP.
Thank you for the help with this.
Edit: I was also a full time carer for my father till he unfortunately passed away in late December 2024. Could his passing be why the money has gone down now??

Hi Boomer
We cannot tell you why as we do not have all the facts, we can only guess.
From your post, you state that you were a full time carer for your father, you may have received a carers premium £45.60pw (from April 2024)
We would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk
