Transitional protection/Relocation

I recently mandatory moved over from ESA IR to ESA Cont/ Universal credit.
As far as I am aware the UC element covers my rent only.I have been looking to relocate into a different area for several years but due to loosing the transitional element I decided until I was mandatory moved over.I was under the impression that if I waited and then decided to move out of the area I would still keep my ESA Cont along with my transitional protection,and make a new application for housing benefit.Recently I have been told that I will loose the Transitional Protection if I move out of the area. Is this so? Btw I also claim standard daily living

The DWP informed me that I would loose it.
On another note, assuming when I am next assessed medically I am still found that I am still unfit for work will the ESA Cont run indefinitely until another assesment as did the ESA IR or will it stop after a period of time?
