ESA Managed Migration Support Group confusion

I submitted my claim yesterday. Can I please ask:

1: When and how do I ask for reasonable adjustments. I cannot go to the job centre as I have Complex Physical needs and severe anxiety. I need all communication in writing and have done for years. I cannot cope with phone calls, f2f visits. I do not answer calls unless I know who is calling and if it was from benefits I would need someone with me as I would not take the information in due to fear of past experiences.

2: Alternative payment arrangement - How and when to ask to be paid 2 weekly as I will struggle with monthly payments. Also for my rent to be paid direct to the housing association. Are there any downsides to being paid 2 weekly?

3: Today I received a P60 which I have not received one for years. Approx 2016 I was on CB ESA and then moved to IB ESA. Does this mean I will be on New Style ESA and UC and what does this actually mean and how will it affect me?

4: When completing the form I ticked I get PIP but in INcome other than earnings it says is not getting any other payments or benefits.
In the journal entries, the to do list is all listed however,
Other benefits affecting your UC,
You still need to accept your claimant commitments
New claim details were submitted
Are all underlined and do not state completed, though everything else does. I did complete them and and there is nothing in my to do list. Could this be because they are still checking these at their end?

It also says on 10th June I should know how much I will get and on the 14th June I should be paid.

Sorry this is so long.
I hope someone can help, Many thanks

Hi Chaps

Be careful as Benefits have changed and these days there is no longer an " entitlement " to Benefits but a contractual arrangement. So not communicating with the DWP will lead to your claim being closed as I discovered today from another Forum member.
I advise you to use the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service and for them to ensure you are included in the Migration Enhanced Support Journey.
Yes you will be on New Style ESA but you will have to agree a Claimant Commitment before you get a payment.
Here is a recommendation of Help to Claim--
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-...aged-migration-to-uc

Let me know how you get on.

Help please. I tried sending this yday but not sure it was sent properly. Have just found out how to follow this from last entry.

I spoke to Help to Claim Citizens Advice as you suggested and asked if i was included in the Migration Enhanced Support Journey. The lady did not know. Should I be asking for Reasonable Adjustments due to health such as Limited mobility and breathing issues, MH ? My PIP 2 years ago was paper based and successful. I am unable to attend the JC in person.

There is a todo in my journal saying I will be getting a phone call tomorrow the 14th May. It says to accept commitments even though I did accept when completed UC form online. I am not sure if this will be to verify my identity also as It said verified online using my passport and Credit reference. As I am in the Support group for ESA should I expect commitments only to be to report any changes?

CA Help to Claim also sent me an email to type 2 bits in to my Journal to Payment A.
This is what it says:
1 ) Please confirm that my transitional element is correct and that I can have a legitimate expectation that as a result, my UC award is correct, and that I can rely on this assurance and use my UC for day-to-day costs, including paying my rent.

This increases the chance of any overpayment if it occurs being waivered. Please add this to your journal for 2-3 months.

(2) The other suggested statement to add would be as follows: My LCWRA status should carry over from my ongoing CBESA (now NSESA) award under reg19 TP regs 2014. This should also apply the LCWRA element immediately without serving another relevant period under reg28(5)(b)(i) of the UC regulations.

Should I put these in journal now before UC ring me tomorrow and should I be asking for rent to be paid direct to housing association now also. The housing rang me yesterday saying my rent would run for 2 more weeks then stop. I had not informed them as Help to Claim advised waiting until I got statement for 1st Payment in case I needed a Discretionary Housing Payment.

Hope you can help with these questions. The stress is rising now.
Thank you for all the help and support you give.

Hi Chaps

I'm sorry that you are so stressed about your interview tomorrow. You have had the advice from Citizen's advice who have knowledge in this area and I would use it in your journal. I can't comment on whether it is the right thing to do as your question is outside the remit of this forum.

In terms of them verifying your identity - a friend of mine only had one of the pieces of paper listed and so they booked a phone call with her and it was all satisfactorily completed today with no difficult questions and she is being paid from the 1st of June.

I hope yours goes well tomorrow.
