First UC Statement Query was created by ital
Hi,
I migrated to UC on the 6th May, and I've just received my first UC statement. It states that I will get the first payment on the 12th June.

I was in the Support Group on ESA and received my last ESA payment on the 19th May. The next ESA payment was due on the 6th June, but on checking my bank account, it wasn't paid in.

So, my question is: does the first UC payment cover the shortfall, or should I query the missing payment with DWP?
The statement doesn't mention anything other than what I will be paid, which isn't very helpful, as it doesn't specify which dates the payment covers.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi ital

Did you accept a Claimant Commitment for New Style ESA. Maybe it was done over the phone.

Hi,
I left a message on my journal asking about this, but not expecting an answer any time soon. Having checked it today, there is a reply. Apparently, the have underpaid me over £200!
The shortfall should reach my bank on the 10th June.

It makes me wonder if they would have realised about the underpayment, had I not queried it.
I would recommend to all claiments migrating to UC to keep a check on payments and the dates they cover.

Thank you for taking time to anwser. Hopefully, this is the last problem I'll encounter with the migration.
I need to concentrate now on my PIP review form, which needs to be sent by mid-June.

Hi ital

Thanks for sharing your experience. The DWP have admitted that they don't have the staff to cope with their plan of Migrating everyone by Xmas. A lot of people are getting paid without the LCWRA element.
