As you can read from this thread, getting clarity is very difficult, or at least to my mind at least.
My own situation is not I'm not only not receiving any TP for my rent, I am also not receiving my LCWRA element and also having a £609 deducted from what I am receiving. This is because UC believes I am receiving New Style ESA, which I am not. The result is that I am currently getting £67 a week to live on and pay my rent from. I can survive for about another six weeks then my savings will be exhausted.
That said, I don't believe this is the DWP staff not being completely honest (at least I hope not....) I just think they have a limited knowledge of the system they work in, and the system itself is dysfunctional with very poor and tardy communication between departments.
Lastly, sorry for the wall of text in my previous post. I do format all of my posts, but it does not always carry over. If someone knows why, do let me know.
