Hi all can I ask a question on a mandatory reconsideration I just had
Went through assessment didn’t get enough points, looked for reconsideration sent all the info back registered post on 17th June So they prob had on 18th no acknowledgement that they received it but got a letter dated 23rd telling me I failed on the reconsideration Has things changed in a matter of 2 day roughly 3 decision made Would this be normal and letter notification came today a week after It was capita done assessment but I’m sure it was other that done the recon
I'm sorry that you didn't win your Mandatory Reconsideration. Unfortunately, only 27% of Mandatory Reconsiderations are successful. The MRs are carried out by the DWP. Yours was turned around very quickly indeed, which is unusual.
After you had your assessment, did you ring the DWP and ask for a copy of the assessment report? It's called a PA4. Are you going to put in an Appeal? If you are and you haven't got a copy of the assessment report - you should ring the DWP and get hold of it.
