ESA MIGRATION TO UC was created by Jasmine3234
Hi I am/was on ESA LCWRA and in support group, plus received SDP and Severe Disability Guarantee. I also think I may have a mix of Ir ESA and Cb ESA.

I submitted my form online 17th June and there is nothing left in my journal to complete. I received my usual ESA payment 20th June of £354.12. I have not been contacted regarding New Style ESA.

Today, 3 July I have received £278.24 with the reference GB CPS FP ACC 3 (NI no.) DWP JSA.

My UC Journal says I will receive a payment on 23 July. So I am now very confused about this "ESA" payment saying JSA.

I would be grateful for any help.

Thank you.

Hi Jasmine

LCWRA is not part of ESA, it comes with UC.

When you apply for UC, as you were in receipt of ESA and in the support group, you should be placed in the LCWRA group. Claimants who receive both legacy benefits, IR ESA and CB ESA. When they transition over to UC, the IR ESA is the means tested part of the claim (UC) and the CB ESA is the contribution part which moves to NS ESA, this is classed as other income and deducted from your UC award £ for £.

UC is paid 7 days after your assessment period whereas ESA is paid every fortnight..

There is no need to worry with payment saying JSA, it is just the system used to make payments..

If you go to your home tab you will be able to see a breakdown of how your UC is worked out and any deductions for advanced payments, over payments, third party deductions
